My longest homework assingment was probably in 6th grade when we had to do a "Minnesota Scrapbook" which included maps on Red Wing, Hawley, Hibbing, and St. Paul MN, a drawing of the state seal, bird (loon), fish (walleye), the state flag, the state tree (red pine), the state flower (the PInk and White Lady Slipper), and we also had to put in the Minnesota State Song, a map of the counties, the different countries that had owned parts of MN before America, the Minnesota Watersheds, a map of the original Native Americans living in MN, a summary of the government system in MN, some fun facts about MN AND FINALLY a 10 page report on the land, people and economy of minnesota. All together it was over 500 points towards your Social Studies grade. The entire thing took about the entire year, because we had to learn about each topic before adding it to our "scrapbook"...
P.S. Talk about writing a run-off (or on, one of the two.. lol!) sentence!
