Annual Youth Ministry Info Meeting

Get it on your calendar: Sunday, August 17, is our Annual Youth Ministry Information Meeting at church from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This is our big communication meeting that happens once a year for all parents and students who want to be involved in the youth ministry this coming school year. We'll discuss calendar items, the vision of the youth ministry for the year, show you how to get connected, how to stay up-to-date throughout the year, introduce you to small group leaders, CHIC, The Journey, Impact, C-Groups, MUUUCE, etc, etc, etc. Please make it a priority to attend!

Wake 'n Ski starts in two Sundays

The very first Wake 'n Ski of the summer starts in two Sundays from now, June 22, at the Holm's house. They live at 4312 East Burgen Rd SE in Alexandria. With the rising expense of gas, the event now costs $10.00 per person. Girls are expected to wear one-piece suits or cover tops with a tank or t-shirt. Dinner and a brief devotional will follow around 5:30 PM, so bring your pre-Christian friends!

Website updates during Belize missions trip

Next week remember to check AlexandriaYouth.com regularly while the missions team is in Belize. Tim will post regular updates with pictures about what's going on and how you can pray for us as we minister to several churches and communities down there.

M.U.U.U.C.E. Information

MUUUCE is coming up! All upcoming 7th-8th graders, mark your calendar for August 14-16! It's the Most Unbelievable Ultimate Urban Camping Experience at Faith Covenant in Minneapolis. Come join 850 other junior highers for a weekend like no other. MUUUCE includes Valleyfair, Indoor Waterpark, Twins Game, CHAOS, Bands, Speaker, food, and much, much more! It is going to be an event of Olympic proportions! Download the "Student Registration form" and turn it in to Dean Olson or the church office by June 26. A deposit of $10 per student is also required at this time. The final cost of the trip is still TBD as we figure out transportation, but it will probably be somewhere around $100 per person. June ParentLink: Help your kids know what's true

For this month's topic of "truth," we've provided lots of insights about teenagers' beliefs and how they're challenged in today's society. The concept of absolute truth is threatened by moral relativism and false teachings. Kids need to overcome doubt and stand strong for their faith. You'll appreciate this newsletter's practical discussion starters to get their kids talking about God, the Bible, and salvation. Download it here!
