Two options for Sunday night, December 2nd

Two Sundays from now two on December 2nd big events are going on and you guys can choose which you'd like to be a part of.
  • Burning Bush will be at The Barn as normally scheduled, starting at 6:00 PM. Mark McClintick, youth pastor at Lake Community Church, will be sharing about how to give yourself away and of course Joe and the band will be leading worship.
  • A Christmas Tale, a theatrical musical, will be performed at our church at 7:00 PM. The drama involves a troop of storytellers (adult and youth actors) who share the story of Christmas with a surprise ending. A holiday desert follows the program. Get tickets for $3 at church.

The Friendly Costume Party pictures are online

Thanks to all the students who helped out with the Friendly Costume Party! Sarah Murphy, a mom at the party, said this to you all on our youth group Facebook wall:

"I just wanted to write a note to say thank you to all the youth who helped at the costume party last night. My girls are 4 and 2, and they had a wonderful time. What I appreciated most was how good all of you were with the kids, and it really seemed like you all wanted to be there. Thank you so much, and keep up the good work!"

Cookbook sale for Belize fundraiser

As most of you Sr. High know, the C-Group ladies do an OUTSTANDING job with the meals they cook for you guys every week. It's seriously some of the best food I've ever had! Well, now they're putting their recipes together in a cookbook to sell as a Belize 2008 mission trip fundraiser. As you plan for Christmas, consider purchasing one as a present for someone.

Here are the dates you should know about:

Monday, December 3: Youth group members will meet to assemble the cookbooks at church starting at 3:00 PM. This will be in place of Hurlbuts C-Group meeting that evening. Please plan to be there!

Sunday, December 9 and December 16:The cookbook and bake sale will take place at church between services and after the 11:00 AM service. If you're willing to help out with that, contact Mary Ronning at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or 320-763-3558. No prices will be set for the baked goods. Instead, we're asking for free will donations.
