A strong value of the youth ministry at Evangelical Covenant Church is the equipping of parents to do their jobs successfully. We know how vital the partnership between the youth ministry and the parent really is. The Barna Group conducted a study among teenagers to identify who has the greatest influence on a student's life: 27% said youth leaders, 51% said friends, and a whooping 78% said parents had the greatest influence on their lives. As a parent, you have an influence on your student greater than anyone else!

The purpose of the ParentLink Newsletter is to equip you to be knowledgeable about your student's world and how to interact with it appropriately, both culturally and spiritually. We discuss current trends along with how to invest into their lives on a spiritual level. We trust this resource will be of value to you as we together seek to establish Christ as the greatest influence in their lives.
