Wake 'n Ski starts this Sunday!
Make sure you keep up with the youth group calendar this summer for all the Wake 'n Ski locations. This Sunday is at the Ferguson's at 2:00 PM. Get directions from this Sunday's bulletin insert or directions to all the Wake 'n Ski locations from the orange handouts on the table outside my office door. Remember, the cost is $5/person to cover the food and gas. Out of respect for those providing their boats, equipment and food, please remember the $5. Also, girls, remember that you are required to wear one piece suits or wear a shirt on top (tank tops or whatever are acceptable).
If you haven't done so yet, sign up your cell phone to receive text message Wake 'n Ski updates and cancelation notices. Visit the front page at AlexandriaYouth.com and sign up.

New Jersey Angel Tree Camp Update
This Thursday morning 11 of us are flying to New York City to put on a camp for inner-city children who all have at least one parent in prison. Please pray for Tim, Dana, Spencer, Peter, Luke, Brittney, Lindsey, Maggie, Laura, Jenna and Rachael this week as we work with these children. Pray that the Lord will work through us in providing opporuntities to introduce these children to Christ.
I'll be frequently updating the front page of AlexandriaYouth.com via text message throughout every day on the trip, so check it often to keep up with the play-by-play of what's happening. Every night I'll also do my best to post pictures from the day in the site's photo album. Feel free to register an account and leave your comments on the pictures.
Website update
If you're a student and haven't hung out on our youth group website yet, we're really having a blast on it and encourage you to join us. So far in the 10 days the site's been live, there's 604 messages covering 66 different topics, all posted by other students! Register an account and join us! It's a great way to get to know other people in our youth group.
FREE CD contest update
Congratulations to Damian, Keegan and Amy for being the first three students to correctly identify these 5 movie audio clips! They each won a KJ-52 CD. Keep your eye on the website for more upcoming contests to win free stuff.
Canoe trip dates!
The dates are finalized: July 15 for Jr. High and July 29 for Sr. High. Mark these dates on your calendar for a great time on the Crow Wing River with Gloege Canoe Outfitters. Plan to attend the 8:30 AM worship service at church and then leave immediately afterwards. More info including cost and signups are coming from Meri Ripley. Contact her for more info.
I'm out of the office for a couple weeks
I will be out of the office this Thursday, June 21, to next Thursday, June 28, and will then be on vacation from June 30 to July 9. I'll be back in the office on July 10. During this time, please direct all questions and correspondance to the youth ministry administrative assistant in the church office,

A couple quick updates for you all.
1. Remember, movie night is at my house this Thursday from 9:30 PM to 11:30 PM. We'll be projecting "Night At The Museum" outside on the side of our house. Please bring a snack or a drink to share with everyone, bug spray and a blanket or lawn chair to sit on during the movie. Invite your friends, too! (Email me if you need directions to my house, or get a youth group summer schedule.)
2. There's a contest running on our website for a chance to win a free CD! Just be one of the first three students to correctly identify all five movie audio clips listed on the site and send a private message to "rockinyp" with your answers (site registration required). Check it out here.
3. If you're planning to go to on the Belize missions trip next summer, but still need info on it, download the "Belize Missions 2008 Info Packet" from our website.
4. Sign-ups are filling up fast for the Belize trip fundraiser this week and next. If you haven't signed up for your time slot yet, visit the sign-up sheet outside my office and so it soon! For more info on the fundraiser, see last week's update.
5. Just wanna send a great big CONGRATULATIONS to the seniors who graduated yesterday! You guys will be missed tremendously, but we're excited to see how the Lord will use each one of you in extraordinary ways as you take those divine faith risks we talked about in church yesterday. Remember, refuse to be normal!
