 Belize meeting is THIS Sunday
Woah, that came up fast! If you're even slightly interested in the missions trip to Belize this June 15-29, 2008 (open to 7th-12th grade), make sure you come to the Belize meeting this Sunday. Kevin Barber, our host and leader for the trip, will be here to give an overview of the trip, show pictures and videos of where we'll be and the people we'll be working with and answer all your questions. The meeting will immediately follow the 11:00 service, starting around 12:00 PM in the Ministry Center. Lunch will be provided. Following the meeting we'll make a quick DVD of ourselves for Kevin to take to the people in Belize when he visits them next month.
Mini Burning Bush Super Bowl Party
February 3 is our next Burning Bush, but it's also Super Bowl Sunday, so Allies is going to do both! We'll have a Super Bowl party and watch the game on a big screen and then have a mini Burning Bush during half time with a guest speaker from New Life Church.
The Super Bowl Party and Burning Bush are at Club One on February 3. Don't go to The Barn -- no one will be there. The game starts at 4:30 PM, so feel free to arrive a couple minutes beforehand if you'd like.
Admission is free and so is the pizza! Drinks cost $1.25 to $2.50, but you're free to bring your own beverage if you'd like.
There's no FCA Super Bowl party this year, so invite a friend or three and we'll see you there!
If you're on Facebook, check out the event details here add yourself to the list of confirmed guests.

 New Sunday Series: Gospel Journey
For the past several weeks we've spend Sundays learing the Go Wide Strategy of sharing our faith with our friends: Pray, Persue, Persuade. Now we're taking it a step further with the Gospel Journey, a reality show series of an atheist, episcopalian, a minister's kid, a wiccan, an agnostic, a presbyterian, a city girl, and a preacher. Together they go through challenges and learn what the Gospel is really all about. Watch the video promo here.
Jr. High will go through this 8-part series starting this Sunday morning at 9:45 AM. Sr. High will go through it on Sunday nights at 7:00 PM starting in a week or two.

January ParentLink: Connecting your teen to our church body
The January ParnetLink newsletter is out! This month's topic deals with teens who don't want to go to church. Many students live for the next church activity to begin, while others struggle with not wanting to go at all. This issue will help parents look into reasons why their teen may be pulling away from church. It will also give great tips on continuing to encourage those teens who are active and love their student ministry. Download it here.
