Final Wake ‘n Ski this Sunday!
Sad times. We’ve had such a great time together at Wake ‘n Ski this summer and, unfortunately, this Sunday is the final one for the summer. It’s at the Al Carlson’s house at 2:00 PM. Dinner is provided! Bring a friend! As always, ladies are expected to wear a one-piece suit. Can’t wait to see you there, especially as we celebrate a special someone’s birthday.
Journey registration
Although we are accepting registrations for The Journey during the AWANA registration on September 9 at church, please register before then if possible. Whether this is your first year in the The Journey or your second, we need you to register either way. A form is available at the youth kisok at church, as well as in the church office. The journal costs $20, but if you can’t afford it, please let us know and we’ll be happy to cover it for you.
Fall launch dates
Here’s an overview of the next couple weeks:
- 8-30-09 Wake–N-Ski at the Al Carlson’s
- 9-02-09 C-group at the Giroux’s. Starts at 6:30 pm.
- 9-09-09 C-group at the Giroux’s. Starts at 6:30 pm. The Journey registration also takes place from 6:30-7:30 at the church.
- 9-13-09 Sunday school starts at 9:45 AM. Sr high Impact is from 6:30-8:30.
- 9-14-09 C-group at the Hurlbuts. Starts 6:30 pm.
- 9-16-09 C-group Giroux’s and another C-group at Jody Carlson’s. Both start at 6:30 pm.
No Soul Fuel tonight
Just a reminder that there is NO Soul Fuel meeting tonight at the Schmoyer’s. The last Soul Fuel was last week. They’re finished for the summer.
FCA Picnic this Sunday
FCA is having an open picnic this Sunday from 5:30-7:00 PM at Noonan’s Park on Nokomis street. It will be at the East Shelter. It’s a potluck dinner, so bring a dish to share. Beverages are provided.
