MUUUCE 2009

MUUUCE 2009Woo hoo! Anyone who’s gone to MUUUCE knows it’s a highlight of their entire youth group experience. Can’t wait to go with you guys again this year. Here are some important details about the trip. Check out the MUUUCE website at MUUUCE.com.

  • Dates: We’ll leave Thursday, August 13, and will return Saturday evening, August 15.
  • Cost: $25 deposit is due by July 1, so get it in this week! The balance of $71 is due July 20th. The total cost of the trip is $96. Make checks payable to Alexandria Covenant Church.
  • There is no sign-up for the trip. Your name will be put on the sign-up list once we receive your deposit and registration form. Since MUUUCE is limited to only 850 kids, space is available on a first-come first-serve basis for students who are going into 7th-9th grade.
  • Please turn in your registration form with your deposit. Forms are available at the youth kiosk at church. The form has a big $89 on it, but we’re asking you to throw in another $7 per kid to help cover transportation costs, bringing the total to $96.
  • In past years we rented a charter bus to transport everyone down to MUUUCE and back, but due to budget cuts, we are going to car pool together instead. We need lots of parents who are willing to drive us down to Burnsville and others who are willing to come pick us up. Don’t worry, we’ll cover the cost of your gas. If you’re willing to help with transportation, please let Ruth Nelson know in the church office.

Jr. High Canoe Trip

Jr. High Canoe TripWe’re leaving the church at 9:45 AM on Sunday, July 5, to go on a canoe trip with students who are going into 7th-8th grade. The cost is $25/person. Pack a lunch to eat right when we arrive at the Crow Wing River and also bring some money for dinner on the way home. If you have your own life jacket you’d like to bring instead of using a rented one, you’re welcome to do so. Also bring sun screen! We’ll return to the church around 8:00 PM that evening.

You’re signed up to go as soon as the church office receives your $25. Office hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Otherwise, put the money in an envelope, mark it “Jr. high canoe trip,” and put it in the drop box at church.

Parents who want to come are welcome to join us for $15! We’ll also cover your gas if you can help drive.

The deadline is Wednesday, July 1, so make sure you pay ASAP!
